Welcome to Our Newest Recruits


In November, Scot JCB Group gained six new employees across three of our depots. Tracy, James, Pauline and Linda all joined the Glasgow depot into a variety of departments. Dan joined our Carnforth depot as our newest engineer and Danny joined the parts department in Muir of Ord. We caught up with a few of our newest recruits and asked some questions to get to know a bit about themselves and their previous experience.  

Pauline McShane

 Sales Administrator- Glasgow (SPS)

What attracted you to the role? 

I was attracted to the role because it is a family run business and I heard it is a great company to work for and they look after their staff well. 

What is your previous experience? 

I have almost 30 years’ experience within the motor trade, both accounts and sales Administration, so I knew I could bring my years of experience to the role. 

What are you looking forward to about your new role? 

I am looking forward to a new challenge and meeting a variety of people within the trade. 

What do you do in your spare time? 

In my spare time I am a busy mum to my 7-year-old son Brandon who keeps me young and on my toes. I have been with my husband Alan for 13 years and we enjoy going out to Italian restaurants, watching movies. Friday night is Pizza movie night and Brandon gets to choose every week (usually the same movie) lol. 

What three words would your friends use to describe you? 

Three words to describe me best would be funny, loyal and good at making cocktails. 

What TV shows do you binge watch? 

I watch a lot of Netflix so anything from a good real-life documentary to superhero stuff (I am a nerd at heart!). 

Tracy Connell 

National Accounts Administrator- Glasgow

What is your previous experience? 

I have worked in Construction Service for 5 years now and previously with the local Council for 25 years. 

What are you looking forward to about your new role? 

I am looking forward to meeting new people and the challenges that will come with this new role. 

What do you do in your spare time? 

In my spare time I like to go walks with mum’s dog at the weekend. 

What TV shows do you binge watch? 

I like to binge watch Deadliest Catch and Gold Rush!! 

James Ho 

IT Support- Glasgow

What attracted you to the role? 

The role can provide more opportunity to support users, systems and develop my IT career. 

What is your previous experience?  

I had 8-10 years' work experience in IT, supported different industries, such as Bank, Travel, IT Vendor, Logistics, International SOS…etc. 

What are you looking forward to about the role?  

The role will allow me to have more IT management experience and the opportunity to be working at a more senior level. 

What do you like to do in your spare time?  

Badminton, Football, BBQ's and spending time with friends. 

What three words would your friends use to describe you?  

Friendly, Hopeful and Positive 

What TV show do you binge watch? 

I don't have a TV in my flat, but watch a lot of BBC news.
