Meet John Maclennan - Construction Sales for the Highlands and Islands

We would like to introduce you to our new Construction Sales Engineer based in our Muir of Ord depot, meet John Maclennan!

John joins us with over six years’ experience in the motor industry and before that he worked in commercial breakdowns for Inverness tyre services. “I feel that my previous experience has given the skills to hit the ground running and I am really looking forward to getting out and meeting customers.”

WHY THE SCOT JCB GROUP?

“I’ve known a number of people who have work for Scot JCB over the years and it always sounded like a great company to work for. I have also used the Muir of Ord depot as a customer many times when working in my previous job and every person I spoke to couldn’t have been more helpful, as soon as I seen the position was available, I jumped at the chance!”

JCB 3CX & Electric Range

John’s favourite JCB machine is the 3CX “It is a great all-purpose machine. You need a foundation dug for a house, use a 3CX. If you need potholes fixed on the motorway again you would use a 3CX, the value and build quality just cannot be beaten.” John said he is most looking forward to relaying the brand strength and quality of JCB to our customers, “When customers buy a JCB they really are getting the best machine available, and I can’t wait to show them the construction machine range.” John also said he was also excited to showcase the new Electric range to customers. “ JCB’s electric range is market leading and I can’t wait to show the benefits to our customers in the Highlands and Islands.” 

SPARE TIME

John likes to keep himself busy outside of work too, “I like to work on my motorcycle (which my wife disapproves of) mainly though I spend all of my spare time with my family as I have a 6-month-old daughter which means every day is eventful.”
