JCB has officially lifted the cover on the new 715 Articulated Dump Truck (ADT) - a heavy-duty hauler engineered to take off-road productivity to a brand-new level. Scot JCB is proud to introduce this powerful addition to the JCB hauling line-up across our depot network.

Built as a nimble two-axle machine with an unladen weight of 9.3 tonnes, the JCB 715 punches well above its weight class by delivering a massive 12,750kg payload capacity. it also boasts a proven Stage V JCB diesel engine and the latest Command Plus cab, setting the JCB 715 as the new hauling partner of choice for sites where productivity matters.

What is an Articulated Dump Truck?

An articulated dump truck - or ADT - is a heavy hauler designed for the rough, soft, and sloping terrain that would stop a rigid truck in its tracks. A hinged joint between the cab and the dump body lets the machine pivot in the middle, keeping all wheels in contact with the ground for traction, stability, and a smoother ride.

ADTs move spoil, aggregate and waste material across quarries, construction sites, landfill operations, and large groundworks projects, where flotation and grip count more than road speed.

What Makes the JCB 715 ADT Different?

The 715 is engineered to be the perfect hauling partner for JCB’s wheeled and tracked excavating and loading machines. It is the ideal hauling partner for loading excavators and wheel loaders across:

  • Quarries and Aggregates: High payload and traction make the 715 a productive partner for wheeled loaders and tracked excavators.
  • Civil Engineering and Groundworks: Articulation, ground clearance, and tyre choice handle soft, uneven and sloping haul routes.
  • Landfill and Waste: The Hardox 450 reinforced steel body resists wear from abrasive loads.
  • Restoration and Forestry: Low ground pressure tyre options protect sensitive terrain.

Key Features of the JCB 715 ADT: Built to Keep Material Moving

Built around a 9.3-tonne, two-axle platform, the 715 delivers serious hauling capability in a compact footprint.

  • Stage V Power: Driven by the proven JCB 448 Stage V diesel engine delivering 129kW (173hp) and a muscular 690Nm of torque at just 1,500rpm.
  • 8-Speed Auto Powershift: Features an active torque lock transmission that eliminates power loss, maximises fuel efficiency, and delivers a comfortable top speed of 40kph.
  • Heaped Capacity: The heavy-duty dump body handles a 7.1m³ heaped capacity, shaped perfectly for fast, clean material tipping.
  • Direct Drive Transmission: JCB 8-speed auto powershift with active torque lock eliminates torque converter losses for maximum traction on the steepest of slopes.
  • Tough Drivetrain: Heavy-duty ZF axles with differential lock keep torque on the ground in the stickiest of mud.
  • Fast Cycles: Maximum travel speed of 40kph shortens haul times when productivity is key.
  • Tyre Choice: A wide range of tyre options allow the truck to suit any terrain, from quarry floors to soft, sensitive ground.

Power Where You Need It

The 715 is powered by JCB’s proven 448 Stage V diesel, delivering 129kW (173hp) and 690Nm of torque at 1,500rpm.

Drive is transmitted through the JCB 8-speed auto powershift transmission with active torque lock. This removes the energy losses associated with a traditional torque converter, delivering direct drive for full traction on the steepest slopes and a more efficient burn of every litre of fuel.

Heavy-duty ZF axles with differential lock keep that torque on the ground in deep mud, while a 40kph top speed shortens haul cycles when the route opens up.

Inside the Command Plus Cab

Operators step up into the latest generation Command Plus cab, ROPS and FOPS approved as standard. The central drive position delivers clear sightlines all round, backed up by:

  • Visibility Pack: LED lighting, wide-angle mirrors, and a rear-view camera all fitted from the factory
  • JCB UX Display: A 7” touchscreen running the same display as the X Series excavator range, so operators familiar with other JCB machines feel at home from the first shift.
  • Personalisation: Stored machine configurations, automated functions, and personalised operator profiles cut set-up time at the start of every job.

Built for Uptime

The JCB 715 is designed to keep cycle times short and downtime shorter.

  • Ground-Level Service: Lift-off mudguards open up filters and routine service points without anyone having to climb the machine.
  • Protected Cooling Pack: Mounted high on the back of the front chassis section, well clear of dust and debris kicked up at ground level.
  • Self-Cleaning Fan: A variable reversible cooling fan automatically regulates its own speed and blows dust back out of the pack to keep efficiency high.
  • Smart Start-Up Checks: Electronic start-up checks measure critical levels and report digitally to the operator before the shift begins.

Remote Monitoring with JCB LiveLink

Every 715 ships with JCB LiveLink, giving fleet managers a live, remote view of every machine on every site. Location, running hours, idle time, fuel use, fault codes, and service alerts are all visible through the web and mobile apps.

The result is more uptime, fewer surprises, and predictable servicing intervals that help protect residual values.
