While you’re working towards gaining your Apprenticeship qualification, you’ll be doing a real job which matters to our business. You’ll work for a company which will support you as you progress your career, offering you opportunities to work with cutting edge machinery and learn from highly skilled engineers.
You’ll get training with our dedicated in-house trainer and academic support to help you get everything you can from the experience. Then once you qualify you’ll have lots of real business experience under your belt plus the understanding of how your role contributes to the business as a whole.

By the time you complete your apprenticeship, you’ll be a fully qualified Service Engineer with an SVQ/NVQ in Plant Maintenance or Land-based Engineering—and ready to make your mark in the industry!
What Will You Learn?
As a Scot JCB apprentice, you’ll start with the basics and build up to advanced engineering techniques. You’ll learn:
- How to diagnose and solve mechanical issues
- The ins and outs of maintaining and repairing construction equipment
- Key teamwork and customer service skills that set our engineers apart
- Our hands-on training means you’ll be learning from real experts every step of the way.
