Miracle Lauren Beats Rare Illness

Lauren was diagnosed with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) which has 50% survival rate. After undergoing life-saving surgery at just 4 days old, Lauren has went on to make a full recovery and celebrated her 1st birthday in May this year!

The family now dedicate themselves to fundraising and raising awareness around the illness. On Sunday Ryan cycled the 55 mile scenic route from Glasgow to Edinburgh in Pedal for Scotland, and Wendy will be running the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon next month.

The Espies have raised an amazing £5500 so far for Glasgow Children’s Hospital and CDH UK, two charities which are very close to the families’ hearts! If you wish to donate to the cause please visit virginmoneygiving.com/laurenswarriors
