Samuel Willison: Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2025

Samuel Banner

Meet our Apprentice Engineer Samuel Willison! Samuel enjoys the variety in his role, with no two days being the same at our Forfar Depot.

1. What motivated you to apply for the Scot JCB apprenticeship?

Scot JCB’s Apprenticeship scheme caught my eye and stood out from other companies.

2. What skills have you learned so far within your apprenticeship?

Throughout my apprenticeship, I have expanded on both my teamwork and communication skills. The practical side of my apprenticeship has taught me numerous mechanical skills and how I can apply them throughout my role.

3. What do you enjoy the most about your apprenticeship?

In the Scot JCB apprenticeship, no two days are the same and I enjoy learning something new every day. I also enjoy seeing different parts of the country when on site.

4. What advice would you give someone who is applying for an apprenticeship?

I would encourage anyone to apply for a Scot JCB Apprenticeship as it is an enjoyable job and there are many employee benefits.
