Scot JCB takes on 'The Big Pink' to raise money for Breast Cancer Care
On Friday 14th October we held bake sales in our depots across Scotland and Northern England for The Big Pink, to raise money for Breast Cancer Care in memory of our colleague Yvonne Churchill who sadly passed away last year after a brave fight against breast cancer.
The company offered up prizes to the best cake and also the best outfit and the staff did not disappoint. We had some very funny costumes and some brilliant bakes.
The best of the costumes came from our Glasgow depot with Andrew and Steven stealing first prize with their 80’s inspired shellsuits! Debbie from Scot Industrial Air came a close second as a pink gorilla! It is her in there, honest!
The bake-off was judging was taken very seriously and it was a tough competition. In the end, Tracey from Newcastle’s cleavage cake stole the star baker title with the piggy bank baked by Julie in Carlisle in second place.
We raised a lot of money for a fantastic cause, thanks to everyone who took part and those who donated their time and money.
