Digging for Adventure

On Friday 3rd May the Scot JCB Group will be taking part in the CHAS (Children's Hospices Across Scotland) Geeky T-Shirt day to have fun and raise money for a fantastic cause!

As a company, we are supporting two of our staff from our Dumfries depot who are about to take on the mammoth task of the Mongol Rally.  On July 19th Sam Stitt and  Callum Shaw will set off from the UK in a bid to travel 8,000 miles to Siberia across deserts, mountains and even rivers without bridges in a 2003 1.0 Suzuki Swift!

They will start in Dumfries where they will drive to Prague before they head East. Over the course of the drive, they will pass through 20 countries and two continents!

Callum and Sam decided to raise money for CHAS as the charity supported one of their colleagues through a heart-breaking, traumatic time for him and his family. They wanted to give something back to CHAS to show their appreciation and as a company, we want to support them!

On the 3rd of May across our 17 depots we will be wearing our best Geeky T-shirts and hoping to raise enough money to help Sam and Callum hit their fundraising target of £2,500. We will also have a home baking sale and other games going on throughout the day!

If you would like to donate you can do so here.

If you happen to be visiting any of our depots on the 3rd of May then don’t forget to try some of our home baking and make a donation to this amazing charity.
