Held at Whitelee wind farm, near central Glasgow last year Breaking Strain events had 50 runners brave some classic Scottish summertime weather to battle through the inaugural Run the Blades 50k ultramarathon.

This year the event is back and even bigger than last year.  There are three distances to choose from this year with a 10k and half marathon option available if you do not think you are ready for the ultramarathon. this is the perfect event if you are looking to try trail running for the first time or you just want a new challenge to train for.  For more information visit Breaking Strain Events.
