Edinburgh Depot Opening

Our new depot is opening in Edinburgh, and we could not be more excited! In We invested heavily into the new site which spreads over a massive 4.2 acres in total and we can’t wait to show you our new facilities on Tuesday 11th September at our opening event.

Location

Our fantastic new depot is located 5 miles from the city centre (and just round the corner from our current premises) in Sighthill, Edinburgh and resides within a long-established industrial estate amongst a variety of well-known occupiers including GAP Plant & Tool Hire, Jarvie Plant, and many motor retailers such as Arnold Clark and Evans Halshaw. A trunk road network is located a quarter of a mile from the depot which gives access to the M8 (Central Scotland and Glasgow), M9 (Fife, Tayside and the North), and the Edinburgh bypass to East Lothian and the Scottish Borders.

What’s changed?

As we have experienced a growth in business in the East, we have outgrown the size of our old depot, it was decided that in order to continue to offer first class sales and service to our customers in this region that it was time to expand. Our new depot has increased in size overall by six times in comparison to our old depot! Our old workshop was 75 square metres, whereas, in the new depot, our eight workshop bays cover a total of 470 square metres – a vast difference!
Scot JCB will to be where the customer needs us to be and will provide the best service in the best time.
One of the main features of our new workshop is our newly installed crane means we can service bigger machinery for efficiently than before. Scots will also be able to host more training and conference events from the new depot. Our parts and service offices have merged to provide better customer service as well as many more new features including our spacious, double-height reception area which features a spiral staircase and passenger lift to the first floor. We will also have more parts available locally as the storage has been increased.

Opening Celebrations

On the 11th of September, we will be hosting a fantastic event full of celebrations for our new depot opening. All guests will have an exclusive chance to have a look around our new depot, and we will also have JCB specialists there to talk everyone through our latest machinery. Amongst the celebrations, the event will include a delicious hog roast and Wildfire pizza – come along and join us for an incredible evening!
