Investing in Growth: Mouse Valley Plant Hire’s Expanding JCB Fleet

Mouse Valley Plant Hire was founded in 1999, in 2023 now owner Tomasz Orkiszewski bought over the business and has seen it go from strength to strength. With a background in plant operation and training, Tomasz brought a clear vision: to invest heavily in modern, high-spec machinery that would appeal to both existing customers and new markets.
Since then, the company has purchased a wide range of JCB machines from Scot JCB, including JCB tracked excavators, JCB mini excavators, JCB site dumpers, JCB compaction rollers, and JCB loadalls. Every new purchase is fitted with advanced safety features such as human detection systems, high-visibility handrails – standards that help the business secure work on top-tier projects.
“We knew we needed fresh, high-spec machines to attract the best customers – Scot JCB gave us exactly that,” says Operations Director Eddie Murray.
The decision to partner with Scot JCB was based on several factors: brand reputation, competitive pricing, and strong aftersales support. Tomasz explains:
“The service from Scot JCB has been excellent – engineers are on site within hours if we need them. We have even had a replacement machine delivered free of charge while repairs are carried out.”
Central to this success has been their working relationship with Scot JCB Sales Engineer, Connor Stirling. Tomasz says:
“Connor is always there for us – he always picks up the phone. He knows exactly what we need for each order, so there’s no back-and-forth – it’s quick and easy for both sides.”
This efficiency means Mouse Valley can respond rapidly to customer demands. In one case, a digger was required urgently for a Monday morning start. Connor arranged everything late on a Friday night, and the machine was on site by 7am that Monday.
The fleet’s specification is another area where Scot JCB has delivered. All excavators are ordered with high/low flow hydraulics, allowing them to run a wider range of attachments. GPS-ready systems and specialist equipment such as vacuum lifting attachments have also been supplied, ensuring the fleet remains versatile and future-ready.
With plans for further investment in the coming year Mouse Valley Plant Hire is showing no signs of slowing down. The company’s strategy is clear: maintain a fleet of modern, high-performing machines that meet the highest safety standards, backed by a dealer that understands their needs.
Tomasz sums it up simply:
“We can recommend Scot JCB without hesitation. The combination of great machines, excellent service, and a strong relationship with Connor makes Scot JCB a key part of our growth.”
