Revved Up for Monster Jam 2025: The Must-See Motorsports Event of the Year

Monster Jam is all about big trucks, big stunts, and nonstop thrills. In 2023, the show teamed up with JCB in a multi-year partnership, bringing the construction giant into the action as the Official Heavy Equipment Partner. From that partnership came the JCB DIGatron monster truck and it’s rolling into Scotland this year at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow! 

The Making of DIGatron 

The idea for the JCB DIGatron was sparked by JCB Chairman Lord Bamford’s grandson Otis, an enthusiastic Monster Jam fan who inspired his mother Alice and later the wider JCB leadership to explore the concept. Debuting in January 2024 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, the JCB DIGatron quickly became a fan favourite due to its unique design and impressive performance. 

JCB’s industrial design team collaborated with Monster Jam engineers to craft the truck. Its design was influenced by JCB’s iconic backhoe loader, featuring a symbolic loader at the front, a backhoe arm at the rear, and a signature red seat reminiscent of original JCB machinery.  

DIGatron, driven by Tristan England, is a massive 10.5 feet tall, 12.5 feet wide, and 17 feet long, with a weight of 5,443kg. Under the hood, it houses a 540ci Merlin engine, delivering around 1,100kW of power. The truck utilises a Coan 2-speed manual transmission and an all-wheel-drive system, enabling it to reach speeds up to 100 mph! 

JCB’s Role in Monster Jam 

JCB doesn’t just compete, they’re the backbone of the Monster Jam event itself! The Monster Jam “JCB Dirt Squad” consists of JCB wheel loaders, telehandlers, compact track loaders, teleskids, and more, all supplied to build and maintain the high adrenaline tracks across the world.

Where to Get Tickets for Monster Jam 2025? 

Tickets are available through the OVO Hydro website! For the 1pm shows on Saturday and Sunday, you can purchase Pit Party passes to get up close with the trucks and drivers before the main event!
